What Is the RTO Vehicle Information System?

The RTO Vehicle Information System is a centralized digital database managed by the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRTH). It connects all RTOs across India and provides public access to basic vehicle registration data through the Parivahan and VAHAN portals.

How to Check Vehicle Details on Parivahan

1. Visit parivahan.gov.in
2. Click on "Informational Services" in the top menu

What You CANNOT Find on These Portals

For privacy and security reasons, the following details are NOT publicly available:

• Phone number of the vehicle owner
• Full address (only state/district in some cases)
• Aadhaar or PAN details
